welcome message (from the one i'm taking over)

Hi there,

Welcome to my desk. Start by familiarizing yourself in the posh surroundings. In the high-rent district, you will find travel guide books that take your mind away from all things related to work. They are placed there to encourage you to travel, broaden your mind, and go to new places – whether they’re in the kampung or urban areas.

In the low-class district, you’ll find piles of job sheets.

‘Nuff said about those!

The lovely orange square painting beside the monitor is courtesy of the CD. It’s a souvenir from his travels in Myanmar. You’ll find that there are many such paintings on various desks here, but this is the best. It’s a snapshot of life there: women in beautiful white linen dresses chatting.

There’s also a wooden toad on your right. It’s always good when the sun’s out. But too much sun causes skin cancer. Summon rain by stroking the wooden toad front to rear along his arcing ridged back. The sound you get really reminds you of… a wooden toad.

In the wilderness area near the toad, there’s also a fallen elephant. He was killed by ant poachers, which is why you’ll find him lying on his side, motionless. Wait another 100 years. You could make ivory jewels from the carcass material.

On your extreme right, there’s also a communicator invented by Alexander Graham Bell, also known as the telephone. How they cram all my relatives in that phone beats me. But I do come from a tiny family…

Welcome to the neighbourhood!

Imran
