now my shoulders can relax

we, i mean ayis finally bought a stroller for arwen. after such a long deliberation and usha sana sini tormenting the sales personnel to open and fold and twist and turn and bring down and lift up and take in and take out and questioning this and complaining that over many, many, MANY strollers (some i cant even pronounce), we finally opted for this litter bugger, i mean buggy.

the sweet cherry SCR 1 stroller. malaysian brand, china made, bought at Jusco AU2 for only RM279.00. why this? because we're a couple of cheapskates. what can i say?

no, actually this stroller meets almost all of our requirements like :
  1. easy to fold - check!
  2. a 3-wheeler - well yeah, sort of.
  3. able to fit into the boot of a satria - err.. check! (i seriously wanted the zooper zydeco, but it's too bloody bulky and i wouldn't want for us to get a bigger car just because we bought a stroller that's too big to fit into the boot, i mean that's just crazy!)
  4. able to fully recline (not like the expensive but not so baby friendly Quinny Zapp) - check!
  5. able to last till baby is about 4 or 17kg, whichever comes first - check!
  6. light enough to carry (it's about 9kg. not like the other one i had my eye on, the Quinny Speedi ) - check!
  7. we need just a stroller, not an entire system where we have to get an additional bucket seat (like the graco mosaic) - check!
  8. ada cup holder for parents. for 2 cups lagi - you know, for our starbucks cups on the go
  9. cheap and affordable (so that, in case arwen doesnt like it that much, it's not really that big a deal) - check! check! check!
we have yet to try arwen on it. it's still in the box and might take us a week to put it together. not because we're a bunch of dumbasses who cant figure out directions and diagrams (come on, give us some credit!) .. but because we're competitive procrastinators.

i wish that it came with a rain cover. worse come to worst, we'll just make-shift a big rain coat or a big plastic as a rain cover. and i also wish they had it in a different colour, less gender specific. they only had one left, in pink and i want to keep this till at least another baby. and what if the next one is a boy? would i want him in a pink anything? the husband was all about metrosexual empowerment in my face and said:

"hey, so what now, boys arent allowed to wear pink? i have a pink shirt and a few of bright pink t-shirts, so does that make me a pussy? are you living in the 60's? get on with it woman!"

fine, whatever.

Sorry beb. I spoiled your comment column. Anyways, nice one! I've tried this one - my fren punya. What I like; its easy to manoeuvre. Yang penting baby duduk lama dlm tu. Pumped tyres mmg bulky and heavy. It'll take up your entire boot space. Our Mura 3 was 18kg, okeh! Berat tak berat laa kan. Of course kerja angkut mengangkut stroller tu was done by my partner. I tolong tengok je lah. So bila Mura 3 tu dah hilang kena curi, pening kepala laa kan nak kena beli lain.

But I still berkenan kat zooper tu.. sigh..
