saw the doctor again this morning because Arwen's temp shot up to 39.5° last night after seemingly doing ok in the day. doctor asked us to start on the antibiotics. her words were "i've been trying hard to avoid giving her the antibiotics for months now. but i think we must do this. it's getting pretty bad. her fever's running high and i don't like the sound of the cough." not the words a mom likes to hear.
should i take her to the hospital, or should i just wait till the antibiotics take effect before i start being panicky? the doctor said the antibiotics would only take effect after 2 days, since she's given us the ones without penicillin (i'm allergic so there's a big possibility she's allergic to that too). doctor said everything should clear up by monday. she's pretty confident. guess i should be too.
*i better call my brother, before he starts getting all touchy again.
