I've always been curious about our cosmos. i don't know why. i'm not a fan of the unknown but there's something about the study of the universe that just strike a chord with me. the only thing i hate about it is the Maths - which is why i only have astronomy as just an 'interest'.
i just love learning about the planets and their satellites, the stars and its funky names, the shapes of galaxies, the wondering about what does 1 million light years actually means, the birth and deaths of stars, the cooky names that people give to a nebula. it's all wonderful. that's why this is one of the things i visit to every morning after all my emails and facebook and what not. it just goes great with coffee.
i'm a geek, what can i say? it's just that it's really humbling to learn that we're just so insignificant, that we're really just small, and that Allah truly is Maha Besar. i watched this video this morning and i cried. because watching it is one of the most humbling experience i've had so far. Subahanallah.
