decor diy

we live in the biggest room in the house but as with hoarders and collectors like us, it's cramped up with a lot of clutter and shit. so to remedy that, i've come up with a couple of decor diy solutions. i'm pretty proud of myself looking at how they turned out :

Hack No. 1 :
We have a long mirror that Arwen loves to use. But the husband for some reason, refuses to drill a screw in the wall to put it up. So what i did was to just wedge it against the wall, on top of a reused A4 paper box that is, for the lack of a better word, fucking ugly.




Enter an old tie-die top that used to fit me nicely but now barely covers my boobs.



'dress' the box with the top and what do we have? a pretty awesome cover-up, i reckon.




Hack No. 2 :
We have an open shelve cabinet where we store some of our unopened wedding gifts that await our hypothetical home; my jewelry boxes; some of arwen's more expensive books that will have to wait till she's at least 7 before she can handle them; some of the samples of works i've done from the office; and more stuff than i care to list down. it's a mess!



An unused shawl and stapler gun later, the clutter is out of sight out of mind.
