"when you have a son, you have to worry about just one penis. when you have a daughter, you have to worry about everyone else's penis"

and when you have a daughter, you also have to worry about all the drama she's gonna pull to with the sole purpose to give you a heart attack. so my little drama queen in the making (as per kak zaliza's careful observation) gave me a scare since last night.

usually, she'll be kicking up a storm in the middle of the night, keeping me awake. sometimes, she'll move so hard that she'd shake my whole body. she'll kick me when she wants me to turn over the other side and she'll also try to push away the pillows that cushion around my stomach. but yesterday, i didn't feel any movement. not even when i turn, not when i rub my tummy, not when i get up. and i didnt feel anything this morning after i took my shower and had a glass of milk. so, naturally, i panicked.

i went to see the doctor, told her i wasn't feeling the fetal movement as much as im supposed to, so immediately, she sent me to do a CTG scan. but of course, the CTG result was normal, the doctor was happy looking at the graphs, basically just lines that look like a seismograph .. or a lie detector test. and the baby lied, thank god. her heartbeat was looking good, and there weren't any contractions that hiked up the roof or anything. just one mild one.

now, as much as it hurts and making me uncomfortable, i relish and cherish all her movements in me. i'd rather be sore than ever want to be that scared again. well, until the delivery at least. cause then, i'd be both sore and scared.
